Day Wise Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival in Bangalore and Transfer to Mysore, including a visit to Mysore Palace
Upon your arrival at Bangalore Airport or Railway Station, we will assist you with your transfer to Mysore. After approximately 3.5 hours, we will reach the enchanting “City of Palaces,” where the echoes of ancient monuments and ruins await your discovery. We will check you into your hotel, allowing you some time to unwind before embarking on a half-day sightseeing adventure.
Following our initial exploration, we will proceed to the magnificent Mysore Palace, also referred to as the Maharaja’s Palace. This breathtaking three-story royal abode is enveloped by tranquil gardens, once the cherished residence of the Wadiyars. Constructed from exquisite gray granite and opulent pink marble, the palace is a sight to behold. Our journey will also take us to the Jaganmohan Palace, an art gallery established during the reign of Krishnaraja Wodeyar III in 1861. This gallery boasts the largest collection of artifacts in South India. We will also visit the Mysore Zoo (closed on Tuesdays), which was originally founded by Chamaraja Wodeyar X as a private zoo in 1892. It is home to a diverse array of animals and is one of the oldest zoos in the country. Notably, the Mysore Zoo is the only zoo in India to house a Gorilla, along with Chimpanzees and Orangutans. Other exotic creatures residing in the Mysore Zoo include Giraffes, Zebras, White Deer, African Elephants, Bears, Porcupines, Rhinoceros, Tapirs, and Otters.
You will have the evening free to explore at your leisure. Feel free to indulge in shopping and take home exquisite silk saris, sandalwood, artifacts, and handicrafts. We will return to the hotel for our overnight stay in Mysore.
Day 2: Half Day Mysore Sightseeing – Transfer from Mysore to Ooty
Awaken a bit earlier this morning, for today promises to be quite eventful. Savor your breakfast at the hotel by 8 am before checking out. Prepare to embark on your journey to Ooty, but not before indulging in some local sightseeing in Mysore. Our first stop will be the magnificent Mysore Palace, also referred to as the Maharaja’s Palace. This breathtaking three-story royal abode is enveloped by tranquil gardens. The Wadiyars once resided here, and the palace is constructed from exquisite gray granite and opulent pink marble.
Next, we shall ascend Chamundi Hills, renowned for its elevation and the site of the Chamundeshwari Temple. At nearly 3,500 feet above sea level, one can relish the most spectacular views of Mysore city from this vantage point, accompanied by a refreshing breeze and invigorating air. Located approximately 13 kilometers from the city, the Chamundeshwari Temple is a revered Shakti Peetha, known as the Krouncha Pitha, where Sati’s hair is said to have fallen. Here, Shakti is venerated in her formidable form as Chamundeshwari. Additionally, we will encounter the Big Bull, the third largest Nandi in India, intricately carved from granite atop Chamundi Hills.
Our journey will then take us to the exquisite Gothic-style St. Philomena’s Church, which boasts twin towers soaring to 175 feet. The church bears a striking resemblance to St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York and the Cologne Cathedral.
We will continue our drive to Ooty, located about four hours away, a celebrated hill station in Tamil Nadu. Enjoy a picturesque ride that meanders through Bandipur National Park and the Mudumalai Wildlife Sanctuary. Upon our arrival, we will visit the enchanting Ooty Lake, where you are invited to partake in horse riding and boating (at an additional cost). After checking in at the hotel, you may unwind and relax following an exhilarating day in Ooty.

Day 3: Half Day Ooty Sightseeing
After a delightful breakfast, embark on a half-day exploration of Ooty, visiting the Botanical Garden, St. Stephen’s Church, Rose Garden, and Ooty Lake.
St. Stephen’s Church – An exquisite architectural masterpiece that hails from the 19th century. This magnificent structure remains remarkably intact, showing no signs of deterioration despite its nearly two centuries of existence.
Botanical Garden – A sprawling landscape that ascends steeply, adorned with a diverse array of trees and shrubs, alongside conservatories housing exotic ferns and vibrant flowering plants. The park’s centerpiece is a fossilized tree from the prehistoric era, preserved as a natural exhibit. Carbon dating reveals it to be approximately 20 million years old.
Next, we will visit the Rose Garden, which showcases over 20,000 varieties of roses sourced from various corners of the globe. Among its unique offerings are the rare black and green roses. From the Rose Garden, one can enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of the entire Ooty.
In the evening, make your way to Ooty Lake – an artificial lake and one of the most renowned tourist attractions in Ooty. Here, you can indulge in boating, cycling, photography, and a delightful mini toy train ride.
Take some time to shop at the famous Charing Cross Road or Ooty Lake Road, where you can bring home treasures such as Nilgiris eucalyptus oil, homemade chocolates, and hill honey from Ooty.
Return to your hotel in the evening for an overnight stay. Relax and unwind at your Ooty hotel, enjoying the serene ambiance.

Following a delightful breakfast, check out from your hotel and embark on your journey to Kodaikanal (250Kms / 7Hrs), renowned as one of the most exquisite, tranquil, and picturesque hill stations in Tamil Nadu. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and unwind. Enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 5: A Half-Day of Sightseeing in Kodaikanal
After breakfast, embark on a half-day exploration of Kodaikanal, visiting Coakers Walk, Bryant’s Park, Pillar’s Rocks, and Kodai Lake.
Pillar Rocks consist of three towering granite formations, standing majestically side by side amidst pristine patches of dense rainforest. These unique and visually captivating pillars rise approximately 400 feet from the ground, creating a breathtaking sight. The surrounding forests, gardens, and magnificent cloud formations provide the perfect backdrop for stunning photographs.
Coaker’s Walk is a beautifully paved 1-kilometer pedestrian path that runs parallel to Club Road, hugging the edge of steep slopes on the southern side of Kodai. On a clear day, one can marvel at remarkable sights such as Dolphin’s Nose to the south, the Valley of the Pambar River to the southeast, and a bird’s eye view of Periyakulam.
Bryant’s Park is an expansive botanical garden adorned with a variety of plant species and shrubs. One section of the park is home to an exotic rose garden, celebrated for its unique and rare varieties. Additionally, a greenhouse nurtures plants from across the globe, thriving in this lush environment.
Visit Kodai Lake, the man-made star-shaped lake that spans over sixty acres. Boating is a delightful recreational activity available at Kodaikanal Lake, with options including rowing boats and pedal boats. For a lively and invigorating experience of the valleys, cycling and horse riding are also offered on a direct payment basis.
Return to the hotel for a relaxing dinner and an overnight stay at your Kodaikanal accommodation.
