Day 1: Arrival in Bangalore and Transfer to Mysore via Somnathpur
Upon your arrival at Bangalore Airport or Railway Station, our dedicated representatives will be on hand to assist you with your transfer to the enchanting city of Mysore. Our journey will take us to your pre-arranged hotel in Mysore, but not before we make a delightful stop at Somnathpur to explore the renowned Chennakesava Temple. This magnificent temple was constructed by a general during the reign of Hoysala King Narasimha III in the 1250s. After we have thoroughly enjoyed our visit, we will resume our journey.
As we approach the city, prepare to be captivated by the illustrious city of temples and monuments that have stood the test of time for centuries. History enthusiasts, pilgrims, and travelers alike are drawn here to marvel at the ancient ruins and architectural wonders. We will then check in at the hotel for a restful overnight stay in Mysore.
Day 2: Majestic Mysore Excursion with Brindavan Gardens
Mysore, the cultural heart of Karnataka, boasts remarkable architecture, historical landmarks, sacred shrines, and breathtaking landscapes. Today, embark on a delightful tour of Mysore city, featuring the Mysore Zoo, Mysore Palace, and the enchanting Brindavan Gardens. Begin your journey at the Mysore Zoo (closed on Tuesdays) – originally established by Chamaraja Wodeyar X as a private zoo in 1892. This esteemed institution is home to a diverse array of animals and stands as one of the oldest zoos in India. Notably, it is the only zoo in the country to house a Gorilla, alongside Chimpanzees and Orangutans. Among the exotic inhabitants of the Mysore Zoo are Giraffes, Zebras, White Deer, African Elephants, Bears, Porcupines, Rhinoceros, Tapirs, and Otters, among others.
Experience the illustrious Mysore Palace, also known as Maharaja’s Palace. This magnificent historical residence of the Wadiyars stands as a remarkable architectural masterpiece, showcasing artefacts from bygone eras. The Palace is enveloped by meticulously designed gardens. It features a stunning three-story structure crafted from exquisite gray granite, adorned with opulent pink marble domes. Dominating the skyline is a five-story tower, soaring to 145 feet, its domes glistening with gold. Entry to this regal abode is through the “Gombe Thotti” or Doll’s Pavilion, where traditional dolls from various periods are displayed alongside a wooden elephant embellished with gold. The kingdom’s motto, “never be terrified,” is inscribed in Sanskrit on the grand entrance gate and arch.
As evening descends, venture to the Krishna Raja Sagara Dam, gracefully spanning the River Cauvery at the confluence of three rivers: Cauvery, Hemavathi, and Lakshmana Thirtha. Be enchanted by the vibrant and breathtaking Brindavan Gardens, celebrated for their symmetrical design and illuminated terrace gardens. The highlight of the Brindavan Gardens is the stunning display of musical fountains. Enhanced by laser lights, these fountains dance in harmony with music, coming alive as the garden is illuminated.

Day 4: Half-Day Sightseeing Excursion to Tala Kaveri & Bhagmandala
Begin your day with an early breakfast at the hotel before embarking on a half-day sightseeing adventure to Tala Kaveri. Known as the birthplace of the river Cauvery, Tala Kaveri, or Talcauvery, is situated on the eastern slopes of the majestic Brahmagiri peak, standing at an elevation of 1350 meters. The trek up the Brahmagiri hills is a rewarding journey, as you gradually ascend and take in the breathtaking views.
Our next stop is Bhagamandala, located approximately 35 kilometers from Madikeri. This revered pilgrimage site offers stunning vistas of Coorg and is positioned at the confluence of the Cauvery and Kanika rivers, with a third river, Sujyothi, flowing from beneath the earth, thus earning the name Triveni Sangam. Perched at an altitude of 898 meters, the renowned Bhagandeshwara Temple is dedicated to Lord Bhagandeshwara, a manifestation of Lord Shiva. Alongside his idol, you will find statues of Lord Ganesha, Lord Narayana, and Lord Subramanya. This temple is believed to be over a millennium old, although the exact date of its construction remains uncertain. It showcases the exquisite Karavali architectural style and is thought to have been erected during the Chola dynasty.
After our visit to the temple, we will return to our hotel for the night. The evening is yours to enjoy at your leisure, whether you choose to relax or explore the surroundings.

Day 5: Journey from Coorg to Chikmagalur with a Visit to Belur & Halebid
Begin your day with breakfast, followed by check-out, and embark on your drive to Chikmagalur. Along the way, indulge in a visit to Belur, renowned for being the sole Hoysala temple still in active worship, showcasing the most exquisite examples of Hoysala architecture. Next, explore Halebid, the ancient capital of the Hoysalas, where the temple complex features a museum that displays idols, statues, busts, and sculptures unearthed by the Archaeological Department from the ruins. Upon your arrival, check into your resort, unwind, and enjoy an overnight stay.

Day 6: Chikmagalur Full Day Excursion
Following a delightful breakfast, we shall embark on an extensive tour of this enchanting region. Known as the “Coffee Land of Karnataka,” this area derives its name, meaning the “Young Daughter’s Town,” from a unique dowry presented to the younger daughter of the chief of Sakrepatna.
Savor the journey as we make our way to the twin peaks of Mullayanagiri and Seethalayanagiri, located a mere 3km apart. Seethalayanagiri rises to an impressive height of approximately 5000ft, or over 1500m. The ascent is adorned with breathtaking views of nature and the surrounding mountain range and plantations. There are designated parking areas that allow visitors to drive close to the peak, which is then just a short walk away. Mullayanagiri, the highest peak in the range, is renowned for its ancient coffee plantations, believed to be among the oldest in India. Standing at about 1930m, or 6317ft, it ranks as the fourth highest peak between the Himalayas and the Nilgiris. Trekkers flock here for the stunning vistas that reward them after a relatively easy 3km climb from Seethalayanagiri.
The Baba Budan Giri mountain range shares its name with one of its tallest peaks, soaring to 1895m. This range is also referred to as Chandadrona, meaning “moon guide,” due to its crescent moon-like shape. It is named in honor of the Sufi Baba Budan, who is credited with introducing coffee to India in 1670, having brought it from Yemen. Additionally, the area is famed for the intriguing Dattapeeta Cave, believed to be the resting place of his footwear and where he would sit, hence the name “peeta.”
Our journey will also take us to the magnificent Manikyadhara Falls of Chikmagalur, located just 1km from Baba Budan Giri. Witness the awe-inspiring force of this perennial waterfall, which beautifully encapsulates the essence of Chikmagalur’s natural splendor. Known as the “stream of pearls,” it cascades to create the Nellikayi Theertha. In the evening, we shall journey further towards the city to visit Mahatma Gandhi Park, affectionately known as MG Park, to explore this exquisite green space. It boasts a breathtaking vista of Chikmagalur city, framed by the majestic hills, where a statue of Mahatma Gandhi stands proudly. This park is renowned as a haven for families seeking relaxation and a delightful playground for children. Additionally, a charming tree house awaits, drawing the admiration of many visitors. After our enchanting visit, we will return to your hotel or resort for a luxurious overnight stay in Chikmagalur.

Day 7: Journey from Chikmagalur to Bangalore Airport / Railway Station for Departure
Savor a delightful breakfast before checking out from Chikmagalur, followed by a scenic drive to Bangalore. En route, we will stop at the renowned Shravanabelagola, a celebrated temple that attracts numerous Jain pilgrims. This site is home to the magnificent 57ft statue of Bahubali, the tallest monolithic statue hewn from a single granite block and one of the largest free-standing statues globally, constructed around 981 AD. Here, devotees pay homage to Lord Gometeshwara.
The journey proceeds to Bangalore, where we will assist you with your luggage as you prepare for your departure. The tour concludes as you say farewell to Karnataka, the enchanting land of coffee.
