Day 1: Arrival in Bangalore & Half-Day Sightseeing Tour
Upon your arrival at the Bangalore Airport or Railway Station, prepare to be warmly welcomed by our representatives who will assist you with your transfer to your hotel. After checking in, you will have some time to yourself to unwind and prepare before we embark on a tour during your inaugural day in the Silicon Valley of India. We will explore this enchanting city, affectionately known as ‘The Garden City.’
We will commence our journey at the Bangalore Palace, a splendid 19th-century edifice nestled amidst lush gardens in the city’s heart. This site is a favorite among both locals and tourists, showcasing architectural marvels from a bygone era, with intricate carvings adorning the interiors of its wooden structures. Delve into the medieval castles and uncover the rich heritage of the royal families that once ruled from this magnificent palace.
Next, we will visit the Sri Radha Krishna Temple, located just a 15-minute drive from the palace. This temple stands as one of the largest ISKCON (International Society for Krishna Consciousness) temples globally. Its grandeur is evident in the use of only the finest materials, including granite, marble, and glass imported from Korea, ensuring a breathtaking experience.
Continuing our exploration in the heart of Bangalore, we will stop by the Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath, a stunning structure built in 1960 that serves as a museum dedicated to preserving the culture and art of Bangalore. This venue houses museums, galleries, and archives that showcase both modern and contemporary art, as well as traditional artworks, some created by students from The College of Fine Arts and The Bengaluru School of Visual Arts. A highlight of the museum is its impressive collection of Indian Gold Leaf work and Mysore paintings.
The Lal Bagh Botanical Garden is a stunning oasis where one can admire a plethora of red roses that flourish throughout the year. Formerly known as the Rose and Cypress Garden, it is easy to understand why this place is referred to as “The City of Garden.” The Lal Bagh Botanical Garden takes pride in being one of South Asia’s most varied botanical gardens and holds historical significance, having been established in 1760.
Next, we will visit another splendid edifice in Bangalore, Vidhana Soudha, which was completed in 1956. Soaring to a height of 46 meters, guests are welcome to appreciate the exterior of this remarkable Dravidian-style structure. Approximately 5000 individuals contributed to the construction of this magnificent white-granite building, situated directly opposite the High Court of Karnataka.
As dusk approaches, you will have the evening at your leisure. Take the opportunity to explore the local department store or enjoy a leisurely stroll through the enchanting city. Perhaps you might visit a couple of pubs to immerse yourself in the vibrant nightlife! After an exciting night out, retreat to your hotel in Bangalore for a restful night.
Day 2: Journey from Bangalore to Mysore via Srirangapatna
Savor your breakfast this morning before we check out of your hotel and depart from Bangalore. Our destination is the illustrious “City of Palaces,” Mysore, which is a 3.5-hour journey covering 150 kilometers. Along the way, we will make several stops to explore various attractions, ensuring that the lengthy ride remains both thrilling and enriching.
Our initial stop will be Srirangapatna, the historic capital of Tipu Sultan. This area derives its name from the Ranganthaswamy temple, established in 984, a site of both religious and historical significance. It served as the former capital of Mysore during the reign of the illustrious King Tipu Sultan. Upon our arrival, we will undoubtedly visit the renowned Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple, where the manifestation of Lord Vishnu, known as Ranganatha, is venerated. This temple ranks among the five principal pilgrimage sites in Sri Vaishnavism. It is an ancient site, as evidenced by inscriptions indicating its consecration in 984 during the era of the Western Ganga dynasty. The idol housed within this temple is reputed to be the largest representation of Vishnu in the Adidesha or reclining posture in Karnataka.
Following this, we will proceed to the Summer Palace of Tipu Sultan, celebrated for its Indo-Islamic architectural style. This magnificent structure once served as the summer retreat for the Mysorean ruler, Tipu Sultan. The two-story palace, constructed from wood, mortar, stone, and plaster, is enveloped by a stunning garden. The interiors are adorned with floral motifs on the walls, allowing one to envision the leisurely moments spent by Tipu Sultan in this splendid abode. From the palace, we embark on a journey to the Srirangapatna Fort, a structure of significant historical importance that traces its origins back to the era when the Kingdom of Mysore flourished. Located approximately 23 kilometers from Mysore, this fort is easily accessible and was constructed in the Indo-Islamic architectural style in 1454 by the esteemed Kempe Gowda. It boasts three concentric fort walls and two layers of moats, with crocodiles and snakes raised in the vicinity as natural deterrents, rendering it one of the most formidable forts to breach.
As we proceed on our expedition, we make our way to Gumbaz, the final resting place of Tipu Sultan. Commonly referred to as Gol Gumbad, this Muslim mausoleum houses the tomb of Tipu Sultan, enveloped by a beautifully landscaped garden. Tipu Sultan was interred here in 1799, amidst a garden adorned with cypress trees and a plethora of flowering plants and trees sourced from French Mauritius, Ottoman Turkey, Persia, and beyond. The original intricately carved doors have been removed for display at the Victoria and Albert Museum, while the current ebony doors embellished with ivory inlays were graciously donated by Lord Dalhousie. Following this enlightening tour, we shall return to the hotel for check-in and an overnight stay in Mysore.

Day 3: Exploring Mysore & Journey to Coorg with Golden Temple & Nisargadhama
Savor your breakfast before checking out from the hotel. Our first destination is Chamundi Hills, renowned for its impressive height and the Chamundeshwari Temple perched atop. At an elevation of nearly 3,500 feet, one can relish the breathtaking views of Mysore city from above, accompanied by a refreshing breeze and invigorating air.
Next, we will visit the Mysore Palace, affectionately known as the Maharaja’s Palace. This magnificent three-story royal abode is enveloped by tranquil gardens. The Wadiyars once called this splendid place their home. Constructed from exquisite gray granite and opulent pink marble, the palace is a sight to behold.
After our visit to the palace, we will conclude our time in Mysore and proceed to Coorg to continue our journey. Along the way, we will make a stop at the Golden Temple, also referred to as the Namdroling Monastery. This is the largest institution where the teachings of Tibetan Buddhism, known as Nyingmapa, are imparted. Following this, we will enjoy a delightful time at the forest resort Nisargadhama, nestled amidst lush, enchanting forests. Upon our arrival, we will check in at the hotel and spend the night in Coorg.

Day 4: Journey from Coorg to Wayanad, with a stop at Iruppu Waterfalls

Day 5: A Luxurious Half-Day Wayanad Nature Excursion

Meenmutty Waterfalls – Renowned as the largest and most awe-inspiring waterfall in Wayanad, Meenmutty features a stunning three-tiered cascade nestled within a verdant, tropical forest. The water cascades down approximately 300 meters in three distinct stages, each requiring its own trek. The first tier is accessible via a half-kilometer walk from the parking area. The second tier demands a trek up steps crafted from boulders, with a half-kilometer path that meanders alongside the river, offering splendid views of the flowing stream and dense foliage. The third tier presents the greatest challenge, necessitating a trek through the stream over slippery rocks, aided by ropes. The ascent is steep in certain areas, and this half-kilometer stretch typically takes about 10 to 15 minutes to conquer. The summit of the third tier rewards adventurers with breathtaking vistas of the Banasura Sagar Dam and the surrounding valleys.
Next, visit the Banasura Sagar Dam, celebrated as the largest earth dam in India and the second largest of its kind in Asia. Constructed from massive stones and boulders, the dam’s expansive, crystal-clear waters, adorned with small islands, create a paradise for photographers. Enjoy a leisurely nature walk and exhilarating speedboat rides (available for direct payment).
Pazhassi Raja Tomb – This memorial honors Veera Pazhassi Raja, complemented by the Pazhassi Raja Museum, which showcases a modest collection of local artifacts. Among the exhibits, the sword of Pazhassi Raja captures significant attention.
