Day Wise Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival at Bangalore & Half Day Bangalore Sightseeing

Upon your arrival at the Bangalore Airport or Railway Station, prepare to be warmly welcomed by our representatives who will assist you with your transfer to your hotel. After checking in, you will have some time to yourself to get ready before we embark on a tour during your inaugural day in the Silicon Valley of India. We will explore this enchanting city, affectionately known as ‘The Garden City.’

We will commence our journey at the Bangalore Palace, a splendid 19th-century edifice enveloped by verdant gardens in the city’s core. This site is a favorite among both locals and visitors, showcasing architecture from a bygone era, with intricate carvings adorning the interiors of its wooden structures. Delve into the medieval castles and uncover the rich heritage of the royal families that once ruled from this magnificent palace.

Next, we will visit the Sri Radha Krishna Temple, located just a 15-minute drive from the palace. This temple stands as one of the largest ISKCON (International Society for Krishna Consciousness) temples globally. It is an awe-inspiring structure, meticulously constructed using only the finest materials, including granite, marble, and glass imported from Korea.

Continuing our exploration in the heart of Bangalore, we will make our way to the Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath, a stunning structure built in 1960 that serves as a museum dedicated to preserving the culture and art of Bangalore. This venue houses museums, galleries, and archives that showcase both modern and contemporary art, as well as traditional artworks, some created by students from The College of Fine Arts and The Bengaluru School of Visual Arts. A highlight of the museum is its impressive collection of Indian Gold Leaf work and Mysore paintings. The Lal Bagh Botanical Garden is a stunning oasis where one can admire a plethora of red roses that flourish throughout the year. Formerly known as the Rose and Cypress Garden, it is easy to understand why this place is referred to as “The City of Garden.” The Lal Bagh Botanical Garden takes pride in being one of South Asia’s most varied botanical gardens and holds historical significance, having been established in 1760.

Next, we will visit another splendid edifice in Bangalore, Vidhana Soudha, which was completed in 1956. Soaring to a height of 46 meters, visitors are welcome to appreciate the exterior of this magnificent Dravidian-style structure. Approximately 5000 individuals contributed to the construction of this impressive white-granite building, situated directly opposite the High Court of Karnataka.

As the sun begins to set, you will have the evening at your leisure. You may choose to explore the local department store or take a leisurely stroll through the enchanting city. Perhaps you might visit a couple of pubs to immerse yourself in the vibrant nightlife! After an enjoyable night out, you will retire for the evening at your hotel in Bangalore.

Day 2: Journey from Bangalore to Hassan and Half Day Exploration

Begin your day with a delightful breakfast at the hotel before we check out. Prepare to depart from Bangalore as we embark on a scenic journey towards Hassan. Along the way, we will pause at Shravanabelagola, a picturesque rural town near Channarayapatna, where the magnificent 18-meter statue of Lord Gomateshwara awaits our admiration.

Upon arrival in Hassan, we will check into our hotel, allowing you some time to unwind before we commence our half-day exploration. Our first destination will be Belur, a charming town renowned for the Chennakeshava Temple, dedicated to the worship of Lord Vishnu. This temple is celebrated as one of the finest examples of Hoysala architecture, constructed in the 12th century. Following this, we will proceed to the nearby town of Halebidu, home to the Halebidu Temple, a testament to the architectural prowess of the Hoysala dynasty. Be sure to visit the museum, which showcases an array of statues and sculptures unearthed from local archaeological sites.

After our enlightening tour of these ancient towns, we will return to the hotel for your overnight stay in Hassan.

Day 4: Chikmagalur Full Day Tour

Following a delightful breakfast, we shall embark on an extensive tour of this enchanting region. Known as the “Coffee Land of Karnataka,” this area derives its name, meaning the “Young Daughter’s Town,” from a unique dowry presented to the younger daughter of the chief of Sakrepatna.

Savor the journey as we make our way to the twin peaks of Mullayanagiri and Seethalayanagiri, located a mere 3km apart. Seethalayanagiri rises to an impressive height of approximately 5000ft, or over 1500m. The ascent is adorned with breathtaking views of nature, showcasing the majestic mountain range and lush plantations. There are designated parking areas that allow visitors to drive close to the peak, which is just a short walk away. Mullayanagiri, the highest peak in this mountain range, is renowned for its coffee plantations, believed to be among the oldest in India. Standing at about 1930m, or 6317ft, it ranks as the fourth highest peak between the Himalayas and the Nilgiris. Trekkers are particularly drawn to this peak for its stunning vistas, despite the relatively easy 3km trek from Seethalayanagiri.

The mountain range is known as Baba Budan Giri, named after one of its tallest peaks, which reaches a height of 1895m. This range is also referred to as Chandadrona, meaning “moon guide,” due to its crescent moon-like shape. It honors the Sufi Baba Budan, credited with introducing coffee to India in 1670, having brought it from Yemen. Additionally, the area is famed for the intriguing Dattapeeta Cave, believed to be the resting place of his footwear and where he would sit, hence the name “peeta.”

Our journey will also take us to the magnificent Manikyadhara Falls in Chikmagalur, located just 1km from Baba Budan Giri. Witness the powerful cascade of this perennial waterfall, which beautifully encapsulates the essence of Chikmagalur’s natural splendor. Often referred to as the “stream of pearls,” it descends to create the Nellikayi Theertha. In the evening, we shall journey closer to the city to visit Mahatma Gandhi Park, affectionately known as MG Park, to explore this exquisite green space. It boasts a breathtaking vista of Chikmagalur city, framed by the majestic hills, where a statue of Mahatma Gandhi stands proudly. This park is renowned as a haven for families seeking relaxation and a delightful playground for children. Additionally, a charming tree house awaits, drawing the attention of many visitors. After our enchanting visit, we will return to your hotel or resort for a restful overnight stay in Chikmagalur.
